before you start

When you secure a contractor role with Morgan, you will receive an email from Morgan Consulting stating Your Account with Morgan Consulting Pty Ltd Has Been Activated.


This email will provide login details to our Astute Payroll Online Attendance Management System. You will have a personalised online payroll portal, where you will enter details that we require to manage your payroll. 


If you do not receive this email within 24 hours after your assignment is confirmed, please check your junk/spam mail folder. If the email has not come through, please call your Morgan Account Manager.

For an individual: What information do I need to provide?


  • Tax File Number
  • Superannuation Fund Details
  • Copy of your Passport or Full Birth Certificate (not an extract) and your Driver’s License.
  • Copy of your Driver’s License is mandatory for Local Government assignments.
  • Personal Details – Date of Birth, Address, phone number and email.
  • Bank Details.
  • Emergency Contact.
For a registered business:
What information do I need to provide?


  • Evidence of Incorporation including a valid Australian Company Number.
  • Certificates of currency for insurance (e.g. workers compensation, professional indemnity and public liability). Please note that Morgan Consulting is not able to place you on an assignment as a Sole Trader.
  • Company bank details.
  • Copy of your Driver’s License is mandatory for Local Government assignments.
Do I need to complete OH&S training prior to starting work?


  • To best ensure that you stay safe at work, we require you to complete a short online OH&S induction prior to you commencing your assignment.
  • Detailed instructions on how to access and complete this induction will be emailed to you.

submitting timesheets

Complete your timesheet by logging into the Astute Payroll Portal.
When should I complete my timesheet?



  • Your timesheets need to be submitted by 6pm on Friday (if you work weekend hours please submit your timesheet when your work day is complete).


  • Once you have submitted your timesheet, your Reporting Manager will be emailed a digital copy.


  • Timesheets must be approved by 5pm Monday.


  • Meeting these deadlines will ensure you are paid on time.
What should I do if my manager is unavailable to approve my timesheet?


  • When you start your assignment, your manager will advise Morgan of a Secondary Timesheet Approver - someone else at the organisation, who can approve your timesheet if your Reporting Manager (Primary Approver) is away. ​


  • In the event that your Reporting Manager and Secondary Timesheet Approver are unavailable to authorise your timesheet by 5pm on Monday, please contact your Morgan Account Manager with an alternative approver no later than 10am on Monday.


What should I do if I’m having trouble logging into the Astute Payroll portal?​


  • Resetting your Password: Go to the Astute Payroll Portal and click “Forgot password” (bottom left). Enter your username or the email associated with your account, and your log in details will be sent you.


  • I’ve forgotten my Username: If you don't know your username or associated email address, please contact your consultant for assistance.

How can I contact payroll?

Should you have any urgent payroll questions, please email payrollservices@morganconsulting.com.au or call 1800 MORGAN (1800 667 426).​

When will I get paid?

You will be paid on a weekly basis. Your pay will be in your account on a Wednesday, however this can vary depending on your bank.​

When do I receive my payslip?

Every Wednesday.​

Where do I access my payslips?

Your payslips will be emailed through to you weekly on a Wednesday. You can also view your payslips via your payroll portal.


Will I be paid during holidays or time away from work?

When working on an assignment through Morgan Consulting, you are employed as a casual worker. As such, you are not entitled to paid leave.​


Why did I not get paid?

If you submitted a timesheet and it was approved please wait for your payslip on Wednesdays.


If you do not receive a payslip and no funds have been received in your account by Thursday morning, please contact Morgan Payroll:

When does my superannuation get paid?

​​Superannuation is paid on a monthly basis into the super fund that you have nominated.


Payment of contributions for the previous month will be paid to your nominated fund by 15th of the following month.


OH&S

What should I do if I have any OH&S concerns or injure myself at work?

Please speak to your Manager or the client's Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Representative as soon as possible. After doing so, you must immediately inform your Morgan Account Manager, ensuring they are aware of the issue, concern, or injury. Your Consultant will then guide you through the process.


Ensuring a safe workplace

Before commencing a temporary assignment, we will provide you with basic Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) training to ensure you understand your responsibilities. Additionally, we will conduct a site assessment of your workplace to identify and address any potential risks to your safety.


COVID-19

COVID-19 has transformed the way we work. Before you begin your assignment, we will ensure that your workplace complies with COVID-19 guidelines set by the relevant authorities and that a COVID Safe Plan is in place and fully operational.

We want to ensure that your assignment is running smoothly and that you are happy in your new role.

We understand that you will be busy at work, and so instead of interrupting your work day we ask that you give your Account Manager a call every fortnight to check in and let us know how everything is going.​

Extension of assignments

Most temporary assignments have an expected end date, but these can often change due to workload. Keep your Morgan Account Manager updated on any changes so we can ensure you maintain access to your Payroll Portal.


What should I do if I am running late or unable to attend work?

If you are running late or cannot attend work for any reason, please notify your Manager before your scheduled start time. If you are unable to reach your Manager, contact your Morgan Account Manager.


What should I do if my personal details change?

You can update your banking and emergency contact details through your Payroll Portal. For changes to your address, email, or phone number, please inform your Consultant so we can update our system accordingly.
