Our client, the Oceania subsidiary of a global industry leader, seeks an experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee the sales of standard pumps in the commercial building service and domestic markets. With a global presence since 1912, they comprise over 116 companies worldwide, boasting a workforce exceeding 19,000 individuals. Situated in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, they are a well-established entity dedicated to marketing, assembling, and distributing their pumps within the Australian pump market.

About the Role:

As the Area Sales Manager, you will spearhead business-to-business (B2B) sales activities via an established pump dealer network, targeting the commercial building service (CBS) and domestic sectors. Focused on the Queensland and New South Wales markets, your responsibilities include identifying new customer prospects, particularly within the CBS market, and maintaining regular contact with specifiers and consultants. This role demands adeptness in both interstate and intrastate travel, alongside proficiency in contemporary B2B sales strategies, operating seamlessly from both office and home environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive B2B sales initiatives through established pump dealer network
  • Target commercial building service (CBS) and domestic markets
  • Concentrate efforts in Queensland & NSW
  • Identify and cultivate new customer opportunities within CBS market
  • Maintain consistent communication with specifiers and consultants in CBS sector
Skills and Experience:
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will possess the following key attributes:
  • Demonstrated sales experience within the Pump industry, preferably with water pumps
  • Ability to undertake interstate and intrastate travel as necessary
  • Proficiency in modern B2B selling techniques and communication methods
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and CRM software
  • Proactive and autonomous approach to territory management
  • Full working rights in Australia as a permanent resident or citizen
