Our long-standing client is looking for a skilled Fitter to join their team in Dandenong South. They are going through an exciting time, having just won a large contract and moved into new facilities and are now on the lookout for people to join their business and grow and develop. Their vision is to become the preferred choice for supply of modular petrochemical storage solutions globally.
About the role
Due to this increase in their workload, they are looking for skilled fitters, who can work independently and ensure a high level of quality in their products. They will provide all training required to ensure you understand the job and are settled, setting you up for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, modify and assemble mechanical components for petrochemical storage solutions.
- Diagnosing issues with their products and rectifying faults found.
- Inspect and test completed components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following key attributes:
- Qualification as a Fitter or extensive experience
- Forklift licence and welding skills are a bonus
- Willingness to work in tight spaces and while climbing ladders
- Tech-savvy, with an eye for detail and quality control
- Ability to problem solve and diagnose issues
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong attitude towards safety and compliance
