With a commitment to excellence and a focus on customer satisfaction, they are expanding their reach and looking for a dedicated Technical Sales Executive for their Victoria operations.
About the role
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of our operations, serving as the critical link between their advanced marking and coding solutions and their valued customers. You will work remotely from Melbourne, driving sales and providing technical expertise to support our clients in optimizing their production processes while liaising with the technical department.
You will be reporting directly to the General Manager, you will however be working under your own steam and be responsible to build your business. Full technical assistance to be provided and you will work in tandem with the resident technical engineer based here in Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Victorian market. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the industry.
- Sales Expertise: Provide in-depth sales advice and guidance to customers, helping them understand the capabilities and benefits of their products. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to customer needs with the assistance of the Victorian technical team.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with customers to assess their unique requirements and design customized marking and coding solutions that enhance their operations.
- Project Management: Oversee the implementation of their solutions, ensuring timely and successful deployment. Work closely with customers to resolve any issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Sales Cycle: Develop effective sales strategies, forecast of sales monitor sales cycle – initiation to close. Working towards personal and business KPI goals.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings. Provide feedback to the product development team to ensure their solutions remain at the forefront of the market.
- Remote Collaboration: Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients locally & internationally using virtual tools and platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualifications: A qualification in sales/business or technical related degree, or a related field would be highly regarded. Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, particularly in product marking and coding systems a plus. B2B sales skill are fundamental in this job.
- Sales Acumen: Proven experience in technical sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. Existing Sales network a big advantage.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. A proactive problem solver who is dedicated to customer success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present complex technical information to a diverse audience is a must, both verbally and written.
- Remote Work Experience: Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and virtual collaboration tools. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems & technologies.
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smoot as possible, you will possess the following key attributes:
- Previous sales experience selling Coding, Printing, Labelling, or any other machinery involved within the production of fast moving consumer goods.
- Organised, self-starter with a lot of energy.
- Well versed with the FMCG/ packaging/OEM/ manufacturing industries.
- Competent prospector – making use of own network and ability to use tools such as Sales Navigator to prospect for opportunities
- A genuine interest in technology and demonstrable by use of tech in day-to-day activities.
- Can do Attitude – this is what defines our culture – they are customer centric and expect their sales personnel to look for solutions to under pin their sales.
- Excellent time management skills – you will need to plan you won day – ensuring your efficacy in reaching your customers but still having time to meet your administration needs and customer communication.
- Prepared to travel – you will spend a lot of time on the road. Face to face visits critical to the success of this job. Majority of your business will be in metro but can be in rural Victoria.
